Brian Logue is a worship leader and ASCAP Award winning songwriter. His journey began as a teenager, leading worship for the youth and college groups at the church where he grew up. “I was the drummer in the praise band. We needed a worship leader, and I was asked to step up,” recalls Brian. “The first time I really played guitar in public, or even sang into a mic, was the first time I lead worship. It was pretty much a train wreck, but people worshiped despite my abilities.”
Brian remained faithful to God’s leading, and feeling a call to lead worship full time, Brian attended and graduated from GIT at Musician's Institute in Hollywood, California. Brian decided to continue his education at Hope International University in Fullerton, California, where he earned a degree in Biblical Studies, and won the Outstanding Music Ministry Award. While at University, Brian was able to tour with the Convocation Band, engaging in worship with many different churches throughout the United States. “I really learned a lot about different styles and cultures of worship while on tour, and it taught me the beauty of diversity,” recalls Brian.
After years of writing songs for churches and worship gatherings, Brian was honored to release his first CD in 2008, titled Journal & Hymnal. “The album is called Journal & Hymnal because it really is a journal of the past ten years. Each song was written for the church I was serving, dealing with a specific topic or season of worship at that time. But the album is also a hymnal. Each song is intended to be sung with the church.”
Brian Logue resides in Benicia, California with his beautiful wife Alison; and is the Pastor of Worship Arts at Northgate Christian Fellowship in Benicia, Ca.
